I can’t believe I’ve been paying $10-12 per meal all this time.

I’ve always been paying a ridiculous amount for a meal when I do meal prep. I buy pre-cut veggies, meat, and it adds up instantly. I do prep on Sundays and I can never find the energy or motivation to cook so I figured it was worth it.

I’m cooking for one this week. I bought:
Ground beef (1.99/lb)
Ground tomatos (1.99)
Shredded cheese ($2.99)
A bunch of spinach (1.49)
A 3 pack of bell peppers (3.99)
Olive oil (3.99)
Spices (1.99)
One bag of rice (1.99)

I spent a total of $18.99.
I’m planning to make enough weekday meals for myself. I don’t think I’ve ever paid under $2.30 a meal for a 4 ingredient meal (beef, cheese, tomato, spinach) and rice, and those meals never included veggies. By the end of the week, I think I’ll have about 14 meals. So under $2 a meal. Absolutely glorious.
