I am a Chinese native speaker and I can tell you that the翻译app works miraculously well now

I have tried several apps like this before, such as Google translate, Microsoft translate and Jingyin and it's been about 1 year since I downloaded the same app called翻译 (no English version available, think it's a Chinese app) and tried the voice recognition mode. It worked terribly. But now it works amazingly good and I totally recommend you to try it out. Put yourself in a real-life situation and try to talk to a random stranger in Shanghai and you will see how good it is.
