Why are some people saying that the USA will go to war with China?

My own country is in a bad situation with china, and I have a feeling that their government might attack us. But other than that, I don’t get why you guys would fight them when we can just trade with them.<br><br>Edit: thanks so much for all the replies guys. I didn’t expect this many responses. I can’t reply to everyone of you though. Also, I understand that I was asking the wrong question since the USA is already at war with china, and what I really wanted to know was why they were at war with them in the first place.
