Apple tells Amazon to remove third-party apps that hijack your iPhone camera

Apple Inc. has asked Amazon to stop selling several third-party apps that, when installed, hijack the iPhone camera and allow the attacker to spy on the device’s surroundings.<br><br>According to at least four different reports posted on Amazon forums, the apps in question were all listed as “ spying apps” that allowed the user to “spy remotely on anyone’s phone and access their camera.”<br><br>A number of security experts and companies have researched these apps and have been sounding the alarm that they represent a significant security threat for those who install them.
