If I tell my boss I’m desperate to move, would I get fired?

I’ve been searching for a new job for over an year, and finally got two interview requests in the past month… both of which fell through. <br><br>I have no job leads, no prospects, and am on the verge of a serious burnout. I have no choice but to move to a different city in the country (an hour away by flight) because of family reasons.<br><br>I’ve had a bunch of interviews lined up last year at this time, but they’ve all fallen through. I’m starting to lose hope. If I tell my boss that I’m desperate to move… would I be fired? I’ve been at this job for three years, and I’m worried I’d be seen as a flight risk.<br><br>How do I bring this up? I’m in a tough spot.
