Why do people saying they like "futanari" insist on making sure everybody knows that it is not the same as "hermaphrodite"?

Hello.

OK, so I'm a woman, I like women, and I am so non-straight that I don't even like looking at pictures of men, and I sure as heck don't want to see one in real life. I don't appreciate biological men claiming they are women either, but that's a story for another time.

That said, I am also both into and very open about being into futanari, and I get respect for that, especially from the LGBTQ+ and NSFW communities, who seem to appreciate my bravery in being open about this.

However, I am currently being ostracised by everybody including previously friendly members of the LGBTQ+ community for saying that it doesn't make a difference to me whether or not the futanari I am looking at are hermaphrodites or not.

Some of them literally said I am non-human garbage and that I should kill myself for saying this.

I don't get it. I thought that just being open about liking futanari was enough.

What did I do wrong?
