Let's Imagine No Tragedies + Terrible Events Have Happened

This has been a really awful week. So many incidents of racist police brutality have come to light and protests are all over the news. I haven’t seen a single story about a happy animal or talent or just something fun for the same time as the protests have begun. It makes me sick to my stomach, and I can only hope that the police officers that abused their power are held accountable. I’ve seen pictures of white children and white women trying to protect protesters, as well as some police kneeling with the protesters. <br><br>As I said, I can only hope that this changes. There will always be bigoted people, but I hope with all my heart that this will be the start of the end of these events. <br><br>What do you think of the recent events? I was testing my post history, to see if comments were included. I think I have now realized the question is unnecessary, though, as this post is on my post history, and I have nothing to comment. <br><br>Another update:<br><br>There have been a lot of post about police brutality in the news this week. I have also personally witnessed one incident. <br><br>I was driving with my friend. We parked in a spot where we were allowed to park. However, I did not realize I had to pay. As I got out of the car, the parking attendant told me that I had to pay. I apologized and told him that I did not realize I had to pay, and I was trying to find it. He immediately smacked me across the face. We were shocked. There was no reason for him to hit me, and it made no sense why he would even do that. I filed a complaint. I looked him up later. He has been promoting himself as a “victim of police brutality” on social media, and a bunch of people are giving him money to help pay for his lawyers fees. This guy is not a victim at all. However, there are still real victims. I hope he is punished and I hope there are no more victims. <br><br>I don’t know how to explain how disgusting this situation is. I think the fact that people would give him money for being the criminal he is, despite the fact that he is the one in the wrong, is cruel. <br><br>Final Update:<br><br>Everything seems to be dying down. For some reason, I don’t think there are as many people talking about the recent police brutality incidents, but I’m sure there are still a lot. I can only hope that people will remember this for a long time, and that there will be justice. However, there are a lot of things that I don’t really know. I don’t know if the police brutality I witnessed and the incidents that have been on the news are isolated incidents, or if people just weren’t recording the incidents. I don’t know what the result of the protests will be. I can only hope that they will not fizzle out and we’ll forget about it after a few days.
