The government is not your friend, stop trusting them so much.

People are way too trusting of the government. This is the same government that killed 100,000 people with opium, killed 30,000 people with radiation, tortured 100,000 people with psychadelics, and sterilized 60,000 people without consent, and that's only in the last century. The government isn't here for your safety, well being, or to make the world a better place. They don't care about the environment, they don't care about your health, they only care about the dollar and their own power, and they always will. Ignoring reality isn't going to make the government a better place. In fact, ignoring reality is only going to make it worse. At least acknowledge that the government is a power hungry entity that will do whatever it takes to achieve its goals.
