Why do cats always lie down to drink milk?

My cat always lies down to lap its milk and food. I feed it in a big bowl that it easily fits its head into, but every time it still lies down to cat its milk. I’ve watched video of cow and buffalo eating and drinking while sitting, standing, lying down, standing on 2 and standing on 4. But my cat always lies down. I’m confused is it a habit of cats? Or is my cat specifically? I’m confused <br><br>Edit:- I put their bowl on ground. Also I’m not American
