What will be the long term effects of this year’s breakthroughs on the global economy?

I’m not sure if anyone has put a long term prognosis on how the developments that have occurred this year could affect the global economy in the next 5 to 10 years (and eventually leading to the Singularity). <br><br>I don’t think we’re anywhere near the Singularity now, but I definitely think that we’ve just taken our first step out of the plateau we were in in terms of AI development. I hear that Chat GPT and other LLMs are already seeing a lot of use in professional environments. If we could make multi-modal AI (and thus AGI) a reality in the near future, then that could effectively solve many of the issues we’re experiencing now, particularly those related to healthcare.
