Kid in my neighborhood is really creepy

I'm 13 years old and this kid who is my neighbor who is 11 years old is super creepy. He invited me to the park and said he had something important to tell me. He was acting super estranged and just kept looking at me out of the corner of his eye and then he just screamed "I'M NOT REAL!" And then ran off into the woods crying... I don't know what's going on but I'm freaked out. I warned my parents but they said I was just messing with them and then sent me to my room.
