I don't see people wearing wedding bands anymore at work.

I've worked in healthcare for over 8 years and I noticed people stopped wearing wedding bands to work.<br>At my workplace we're required to wear a smartwatch as part of our uniform. I noticed many people stopped wearing their wedding ring over the years. I wonder why? It's not required to remove any jewelry so why did this become an issue?
