I shot myself in the head with a 9mm pistol.<br><br>I was 21 and experienced in gun safety, if the police hadn’t been called on me after I’d shot myself, I’m pretty sure I’d have gotten away with it.<br><br>I was in my apartment, there were no powder burns on my head, and the gun was in my hand when the police arrived. We spent close to an hour talking to my father and the cops before they’d called an ambulance to check me out. <br><br>Luckily for me, I’d only shot the pistol with the sightless eye, so the bullet only went through a small piece of skull and into my brain before somehow magically, it stopped in the middle of my mind.<br><br>I’d been luckier than luckier that day.<br><br>I lost 1/4 of my vision and suffer from debilitating migraines, but I’d been lucky enough to live for another 38 years before ending it myself.
