CMV: The most insufferable type of redditor is the European pretending to be shocked by our problems despite living in a country with its own host of issues

In the US, there are tons of chambers with huge amounts of European posters who seem to love gloating about how much better off they are, how much we suck, etc etc etc. These people are so annoying, and they show up just about everywhere on this dumb site.<br><br>Now if these people were actually from a utopian paradise, they’d have an actual point, but this isn’t the case. Europeans have a lot of their own issues, whether it be out of control immigration in the UK, rampant child sex abuse in Germany, sky-high rates of suicide in Scandinavian countries, or cop brutality protests in France. <br><br>So why is it that these people won’t stfu? Why do they insist on shoving their boot in our ass over problems that, even if their country doesn’t have, their continent certainly does? Why do they talk as if they’re some enlightened being looking down upon a pack of dirty, uncouth commoners when in reality they’re just as dirty and common as us, just with different problems and different systems?<br><br>It’s really annoying to deal with these people since they never really have any points. Their entire mindset is “my country is better than your country! And I’m better than you too because I’m European, after all ;)” Them talking is just as useful as listening to a child cry over some other kid getting more ice cream than them.<br><br>So if you can change my view, do it, but until then, I’ll just ignore these people and move on with my life.
