Corporations have a bad habit of paying everybody around them bare minimum while they hoard wealth for themselves.

I'm not a business owner, but it seems you want to curate a healthy work place where people are properly compensated. everybody is happy. you pay your employees a decent wage, suppliers, contractors, etc. you want to be a good business owner and have a good reputation and want to supply a quality service. But sooner or later, some schmuck comes in and says, hey, if we just pay employees, suppliers, contractors minimum wage, we'll have more money in our pockets. And slowly but surely fuck everybody around them. Then other businesses will have to fuck everybody around them or else they'll get edged out by the cheaper business. It's a race to the bottom and its ruining society. I can't think of a single big business where the CEO makes under a million a year.
