A strange ass thing happened to me last night

So last night I’m driving to the grocery store not really thinking about anything and the song “waves” by Mr. Probz comes on the radio, I’ve heard this song a million times. I remember thinking to myself how many memories I’ve associated with this song, back to when I was in high school it would play when me and my friends were partying. It reminds me of when I was a younger and more energetic, even naiver. I started thinking about how music could most likely trigger what Jung would call the collective unconscious. Okay, so that’s maybe a 5 minute drive and I get the the store. I park my car and walk in and the first thing I see is this girl with green hair, it took me a second but it was my best friends daughters high school girlfriend. It’s been a few years since I’ve seen her, so I went to say hi and catch up a little and I asked her what she was doing here, she said she worked here. I told her I was just going to grab something to drink and asked if she was working the registers and she said yes so I said I’d come through her line. <br><br>My best friend in the whole world passed away in 2017 we grew up together, so it was very sad to see her go and this girl was her daughter throughout most of high school. Okay, so I go through this girl line and I reminded her that this was the first song I heard when I got in the car and it was also playing at her moms celebration of life. She said this was her moms favorite song after we got done talking she scanned my stuff and said it’s on me. I had no idea how much it was, so I asked the gentleman behind me how much it was so I could pay the next person behind him, he told me it was 5$ and I gave him a 10$ and told him to keep the rest.<br><br>Ok so I’m driving back home and I hear Bernie Sanders on NPR talking about the importance of the youth. I get home turn on my TV and one of my favorite high school movies is on, so I thought this was all very weird. I’m not sure why most of the random shit that happened to me was revolving around my childhood.
