I'm so tired of being judged for being childfree.

So I'm a woman in my mid 30s and I'm happily married. From a young age I just knew I didn't want kids. I'm not really sure why but that's my choice and I'm not going to apologize for it. I can't stand people who judge me for my decision not to have kids and say I'm "missing out". Like no I'm good on the kids.

REDFLAG for me is when someone says either "you'll change your mind" or "you'll make a great mom". The first gives me the ick because, like I made the decision to stay childfree for a reason. I didn't make the decision lightly and everyone knows that. The second just makes me feel uneasy. Like I know that they're trying to be nice but I feel like it's really condescending to say that I'll make a great mom when I have no desire to be a mom.

So I'll just end it off here by saying, if you're not childfree then you just don't get it and that's okay. But please for the love of everything holy don't criticize our decisions.
