My friend (26f) recently posted on Facebook that she and her fiancé (27m) wanted to separate temporarily and figure some things out. I didn't think much of it initially, but then she posted that they separated because my friend discovered that her fiancé didn't want to have kids.

She was absolutely devastated by this revelation and broke down into tears when she told me about it. She was really upset about the idea of raising a child by herself and she couldn't imagine bringing another human into this world to suffer. She also expressed her desire to have her own children one day, preferably a boy and a girl, and was now questioning if she could ever have the family she had always wanted.

My friend confided in me that she had always dreamed of being a mother and had considered becoming a single parent if she didn't find a partner. However, her bad experience in high school and her own parents' situation had led her to change her mind about wanting to have children. Despite this, she still felt a strong desire to nurture and help others.

It's so sad that my friend's dream of being a mother is being crushed by her fiancé's decision. I feel for her and I'm a little worried about her now. I hope she can move past this and find a way to fulfill her dream of motherhood.

**tl;dr**: A friend (26f) and her fiancé (27m) separated because he told her that he didn't want to have kids.
