FUCK FACE ID, and FUCK APPLE.<br><br>Apple just removed face id as a security option, meaning you can no longer use it to require face id to access certain apps, like certain social media apps that require you to be a minimum age. Removing this functionality means anyone with access to your phone can use those apps without any roadblocks.<br><br>Why did they remove this feature? A few of the top comments on that post speculate that it would give them a legal out when minors use apps or services they should not be using, and apple would come off clean. They removed it not because it was an insecure option, or because they wanted to make face id better. They removed it because the word "children" is starting to be used more in place of the word "adult" in the context of face recognition.<br><br>For fuck's sake, if you own an apple product, GET RID OF IT NOW.
