I’ve been reading a lot of posts about how to stay minimalist in a home where not everyone is into it, and I thought I’d make a post about a different aspect of this issue. I believe that each of us tries to make a space around us that reflects our own personality, so a different question I would like to ask is:

There is so much clutter on the planet, clutter in business, clutter of people’s minds, clutter of feelings, and clutter in the environment, so how do you stay minimalist, while living among all the clutter that is not just in a house, but all around in the world.

In the past few years, I’ve been trying to get into minimalism as I feel it helps me live a more focused and happy life. We all have our own vision of what minimalism means, and mine is not to throw away everything into the trash, to have a completely empty house or to live in a tent in the forest.

But sometimes I feel I’m just a stranger in this world that is not mine, and sometimes I wonder if I’m just foolish.

We are constantly surrounded by cluttered streets, cluttered shops, cluttered restaurants, cluttered social media, cluttered clothing stores, and cluttered minds. Our world is full of pollution and unnecessary things, and, in my opinion, this is the main reason why people are stressed and anxious.

If you go shopping, you see hundreds of thousands of choices in front of you, hundreds of thousands of advertisements with messages to buy something, and thousands of people in the same shopping center as you, each with different goals and emotions.

If you go through social media, you see hundreds of thousands of faces of different people whom you don’t know, but who want to sell you a product or a service that you don’t need, and hundreds of thousands of people with different opinions and goals.

People are surrounded by situations where they have to make multiple choices at once, and driven by the desire to make the “right” choice, they have multiple thoughts in their heads, and this can be very stressful for their minds.

I believe that each of us is born with a clean mind and a space in our lives for only the things that matter to us. The earth is born in the same way. But over time, our natural order is disrupted. We attract a lot of unnecessary thoughts and things in our minds and lives that disturb the way we view the world, and the way the world views us.

I believe that’s why we need to keep the space around us clean. This way we can control the world we live in by controlling the things we consume, the emotions we feel, and the people we surround ourselves with.

By living in this way, we don’t just keep our minds clean. We keep our own planet clean, and we help to preserve the natural order of the universe.

And if you ask me, I think living this way is the greatest miracle of all.

Edit: I also wanted to clarify that when I use the term minimalism, I don’t just mean throwing away your belongings. Minimalism is a lifestyle with many forms of expression related to reducing clutter in our minds, environment, relationships with others, work, food, hobbies, and the way we spend our time.

My definition of minimalism is to live a simpler and more focused life, free from unnecessary clutter in all its forms.

So, my question is, how do you personally stay minimalist, with all the clutter in today's world?

Edit 2: Honestly, I haven’t expected so much interest in this post. Thank you all for the kind words and advice :)
