So I have been a long time lurker here and I have always been intrigued by your experiences, I don't have a lot to share, but I think I've got one that would be of particular interest here. This happened back in the mid 90's when I was about 10 years old.

I love fishing. That's all I can think about during summer vacations. Back then, my parents and I lived in the suburbs of Eastern Canada, 10 minutes from a large river where I could easily do my favorite hobby.

One day, I was out of luck and being extremely bored, I had been there for over 6 hours without catching anything. I decided to pack it up. On my way home, I decided to cut through a tunnel under the highway, and then I had to follow a dirt path which was about half a kilometer long, connecting one side of the highway to the other. It was a few feet below the highway so you could hear the traffic. It wasn't really the best place to be alone mid 90s as I didn't have a cell phone to call for help, and anyone could have easily come down without anyone noticing. I had already felt that way for the first 200 feet or so that I walked down the path, but I was only a few hundred feet away from where it would reconnect to a proper road, so I could already see an opening. When I reached this opening, I felt as if the whole road was shifted to the right. I can't really explain it, I don't know if it was a trick of the mind, an optical illusion, but I was certain of it. I knew where everything was, but suddenly it felt as if the whole road and all the houses were askew. I have since then found out that this is called a Mandela effect.

Then, as I was leaving the dirt path, I heard a loud beeping noise and a car pulled out of nowhere onto the road. I don't mean fast, I mean it wasn't there and then it was. I became frozen in shock, and as the car pulled up in front of me, I lost all my stupefaction when I saw a young girl in the driver seat, waving at me. She was probably in her mid 20s, it's hard to tell when you're 10 years old, but I'm certain she was under 30. I don't remember what she looked like, it's been too long, but I do remember what she was driving : A black Chevrolet with tinted windows, and a license plate from a province of Canada roughly 3000 kilometers away from where I was. I tried to look at the plates for as long as I could as she drove away, and even though the event happened about 30 years ago, I distinctly remember the letters on the plate. I'm not willing to share them here as you could track the owner down if he's still alive.

Nothing special so far, but that's all I know about this encounter. I never saw that car or that girl again, and I lived in that area for another 5 years or so. Nothing unusual ever happened to me there again. Fast forward to about 12 years ago when I was in my mid 30s, I was on a business trip in Canada, on the other side of the country. I had arrived the day before and it was a beautiful day, so I decided to go for a walk to clear my head. As I was walking, I noticed a black car with tinted windows... And a license plate from my province of origin. 3000 kilometers away. I tried to see who was driving but I don't think anyone was in the car. I've never seen that car or that particular license plate again. The odds of me meeting the same person on two opposite ends of Canada, with the same car, and at a roughly 20 years interval is staggering.

I'm not trying to convince anyone about anything here, and I don't think I was abducted by aliens, or anything like that. I just wanted to share this unusual occurrence with the world, as I couldn't find anything close to it in my research. I would love to hear your thoughts.
