Christians, you say Jesus taught love, kindness, and understanding, so why are you still voting republican?

I don’t get it. He very clearly said that we are to take care of the poor, the widow, the orphan, and the foreigner. To give to the poor, to give food to the hungry, to give water to the thirsty, to give shelter to the homeless. I don’t think that Jesus would condone the way we are treating our fellow human beings. I think Jesus would be absolutely horrified at the fact that we are separating children from their parents and locking them in cages. I think he would be very disappointed in our country.
