CMV: The transgender movement will end up killing the entire LGBTQ advocacy movement by being so extreme and demanding in the way they want society to treat gender

Before I begin - I am very much aware that transgender people have had a very hard time and that the majority of transgender people just want to live in peace without persecution. I completely agree that transgender people deserve protection from discrimination.<br><br>That being said, I believe that the modern transgender advocacy movement is doing more harm than good for the simple reason that they are making demands that are too extreme and unrealistic, at the same time as they are overly intolerant of criticism and skeptical views.<br><br>Some examples of things that I find to be completely over the top are for example the demands that women be okay with letting men into their locker rooms (provided that those men "identify" as women). There have also been demands that women be okay with male to female transgenders getting involved with female sports, where they often have a physical advantage due to male biology. Transgender people have also had extreme meltdowns over not being allowed into "women only" events like the women's march, where four women who started the event were kicked out for not letting men into their event.<br><br>I also find it to be very problematic that many transgender activists are no longer satisfied with tolerance but are instead demanding acceptance. If people don't use the correct pronouns when talking to or about transgender people, or if they express skepticism towards the idea of gender or the extreme political correctness that transgender activism has spawned, you are immediately met with a massive backlash and it is common for people to lose their jobs, be ostracized by their communities and even get doxxed and have their personal info leaked online. <br><br>I think that this kind of incident will end up killing the LGBTQ movement because it leads to resentment and hate from the general population, who think that the transgender and LGBTQ movement has gone from being about acceptance and tolerance to being about imposing its views and dogma onto the rest of society and that they are a bully who won't tolerate dissent.
