Why do people who decide to look for a job or a relationship exaggerate the difficulties of it?

I don't really speak to people IRL, so I speak to people online about this. Some share my opinions, but most share different opinions. I would be happy for people to comment as I don't have much of a social circle. Please comment with your thoughts on this as it's an important topic to me.<br>Why do people who decide to look for a job or a relationship exaggerate the difficulties of it? That's what I hate about people looking for a partner when they say, "I don't have any luck finding a partner." But most people don't have any luck finding a partner. What's your problem? And if you have a hard time finding a partner, why not change yourself so that you start being successful? I was very lonely and I decided to go on dates even if it was very hard. I didn't have any luck the first few times, but after that I started being successful. I met a guy whom I married. We have a child together. And now I'm even starting to feel some pressure from that guy because he doesn't look for a job but complains about his situation and I'm tired of hearing him complain about his situation. It's time for him to change it.
