This may be more fun for people who have written a lot of stories starring the same character than for people who wrote a one-off, but the idea occurred to me and I’d love to hear about your guys’ stories. No need to link it, just tell me enough about it in the comments below (like the character’s name, what kind of story it is, and whether they spend most of their time in the present, past, or future) for me to work off of.<br><br>So far I have:<br><br>Keth (fantasy, present): a round, yellow topaz about the size and shape of a US nickel, surrounded by diamonds in an alternating pattern of pointing to and away from the center stone.<br><br>Kethlene (fantasy, past): an emerald-cut sapphire surrounded by rubies on a gold chain.<br><br>Evan (mystery, present): a small piece of turquoise, no setting.<br><br>Natalie (sci-fi, future): silver wings holding a sapphire.<br><br>Faye (horror, present): tiny cross.<br><br>Eirin (mystery, present): a silver padlock with a heart-shaped key inside hanging from the inside of the lock, with a chain that appears to be blunted on both ends and no visible clasp.<br><br>Diana (fantasy, present): a small, leather pouch that jingles.<br><br>Emma (horror, past): a clay pendant that looks like a scarab.
