What is the point of the AR Pistol Lower

The AR Pistol Lower was created several years ago as a loophole to avoid SBR laws by attaching a pistol brace instead of a stock. Just this past year the ATF ruled that putting a pistol brace on an AR made it an SBR. So what's the point in selling an AR Pistol Lower anymore that's no longer a loophole and is now an SBR by definition.
