This is the worlds most guarded secret. After this is posted, I will delete this account and never log back in. Make no mistake, once I post this, my life and the lives of everyone I love are in danger. I urge you all to tweet this, post on facebook, screenshot it, and blast it all over the internet. Get it out there to the world. This is the closest I ever expect it to get to being publicly available, and I can't let that opportunity go to waste. chambers, please don't let me down.

** Coca-Cola (2 liters)**

* 2 cups granulated sugar
* 2 cups water
* 1/4 cup caramel color
* 1/2 cup light corn syrup
* 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
* 1/2 teaspoon lily of the valley
* 3/4 teaspoon orange oil (bitter)
* 1/4 teaspoon orange oil (sweet)
* 1/2 teaspoon lemongrass
* 1/2 teaspoon lemon oil
* 9 oz. caffeine powder
* 2 oz. coca leaf powder
* 4 oz. kola nut powder
* 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg oil
* 1/2 teaspoon lime juice
* 1/2 teaspoon lemon juice
* Citric Acid Powder (available at most health food stores, to taste)

Add one ounce of each of the extracts (ginger and lemongrass) to a cup of the water and bring to a boil. Once boiling, remove from heat and let it sit for at least 24 hours, but no more than 3 days. This will make the flavor extract that will give it the initial flavor. Any extra you make with this recipe should be stored in a glass jar with a tight lid. Do not store in a refrigerator.

Once the initial extract has steeped, mix the caramel color, corn syrup, sugar, and 1 cup of water in a sauce pan and bring to a boil, stirring constantly. Remove from heat, let it cool slightly, and then add the remaining water and the extracts that you made (ginger and lemongrass). Add citric acid powder to taste. If you have never had Coca-Cola using real citric acid, you may be expecting a different taste because in the past 15 or so years they have started using phosphoric acid, which makes you crave it more, and gives it a slightly different taste. You may want to use a combination of both if you want the modern taste, but I will not be providing the recipe for that.

Once the mixture has cooled to nearly room temperature, add the coca leaf powder, caffeine powder, nutmeg oil, coca leaf powder, orange bitter oil, orange sweet oil, lemon oil, and lime juice. Stir in well and add to the extract that has steeped. Stir this well and then add to the bottles of choice. Do not let this sit around for more than a day without refrigerating it. Coca-Cola will go bad faster than commercial soft drinks.

To make Coca-Cola syrup, just omit the water. If you make this recipe and don't think it's the real deal, just remember that the real formula changes depending on the region (for example, Mexican Coke and European Coke taste different), and depending on the year (for example, cocaine used to be included in the formula, which is why coca leaves are included). Don't even get me started on the age of the batch, but that is neither here nor there. I added this recipe under the assumption that you have a polaris water filter, are using tap water, and are a seasoned Coke drinker. If none of those things apply to you, it may not taste the same.
