I'm sorry for my President

**Edit: I've been blown away by the magnitude of support and love that I've received on my post. I'll try my best to get back to every single one of you, but please forgive me if I can't quite make it. I'll also take this opportunity to remind everyone that this sub is going to be a space for love and acceptance. We're going to take our anger and frustration and channel it into love and support for those around us, now and always. Thank you all, and Godspeed to our nation.**<br><br>Hey there, international people. Please know that I'm sorry. I'm sorry that my President is making a complete embarrassment of our nation and himself. I'm ashamed to call him my President. I'm ashamed of how he's representing us. I'm ashamed that he's my President. I'm ashamed that he's representing us. <br><br>I'm sorry for his crude, demeaning, chauvinistic behavior. I'm sorry for his childish antics, and his petty squabbles. I'm sorry that he's as self-absorbed as he is, and that he genuinely does believe that the world revolves around him. I'm sorry that he has such a massive ego, and combines it with such an even larger lack of self-awareness.<br><br>I'm sorry that he's turbidly corrupt. I'm sorry that he's an obvious crook, and that he's still allowed to be President. I'm sorry that he's such a blatant liar, and that he lies so damn much. I'm sorry that he's a fantastic example of what happens when money and greed are allowed to become the highest virtues. I'm sorry that he's the best that my country managed to do. I'm sorry that the United States of America has failed so badly. <br><br>I'm sorry that he's pulling the United States out of the Paris Accords. I'm sorry that he's not American, and that I am. I'm sorry for his post-9/11 comments. I'm sorry that he's not the best that we have to offer. I'm sorry that he's an obvious (and self admitted) sex abuser. I'm sorry that he's still allowed outside of a group home. <br><br>You might have noticed that I've used the word "I'm sorry" a lot in the last few paragraphs. That's because I am. I'm sorry for all of this, and more. <br><br>I'm sorry that he's my President. I'm sorry that he represents us. I'm ashamed of this, and I always will be.<br><br>Edit: Wow, you guys are awesome.
