I have been doing this for a couple of years every week. This started when my grandma fell into a depression and stopped taking care of herself. She was living on oreos and prunes. I started with making her a couple of meals a week and a couple of smoothies to help supplement her diet. With everything together it was costing me around 40 bucks a week. I had no problem with that it was more than worth it to me to help my wonderful grandma and she felt loved and cared for again. She was so happy, I was so happy.

Then my grandpa got sick. Cancer. In the hospital. I moved in to help my grandma take care of him, of herself, of the house, of their dogs, their cat, their farm. I started making him the meals also, I double the ingredients. It costs 20. Then I started bringing some for me too. It doesn’t cost anymore and it is such a stress relief to not have to worry about 3 meals a day. I also make the 2 smoothies a day. The grand total is 25.

Now the recipe!

I use 2 big mixing bowls. Everything on one side and the noodles and rice on the other. This makes 24 meals.

2 pounds of noodles. I reccomend whole wheat y’all.
4 pounds of rice.
4 pounds of frozen mixed veggies.
4 pounds of beans.
2 pounds of lentils.
4 pounds of chicken breasts.
12 eggs.
4 low sodium chicken breasts broth.

I cook all of the chicken breasts and lentils together. I do 2 chickens, 1 lentil bag and 1 broth to a pot. I cook the veggies and beans together in another pot with the other 2 chicken broth’s. I scramble the eggs and siftnthe noodles and rice. At this point I usually have to switch to bigger bowls. So I put half of the noodles and rice in another big bowl and mix the other half with the veggies and beans. Then I mix the 2 bowls together. Mix everything together and split into 24 containers.

Mike and Ike’s are the best!
