What happened to the relationship between Russia and China?

I recently read a post on r/TwoXIndia where a Chinese woman went to a Russian restaurant, unable to speak Russian, she asks if anyone speaks English. The chef screams "This isn't a restaurant for your friends!" and the employees kick her out. After this, the restaurant received death threats and the chef was charged with threatening national security. I also watched a video where a Chinese man working as a security guard in a Russian mall is beaten by Russian security for being Chinese when a Russian riots at the cash register.

I've looked at historical documents and found the Treaty of Nerchinsk (1689), the Treaty of Kyakhta (1727), and the Treaty of Aigun (1858), which weren't very favouring to China. More recent events like the border clashes in 1969 and the Sino-Soviet split in the 1960s led by Mao Zedong and Nikita Khrushchev didn't help either. The Sino-Russian border conflicts in 2023 also showed hatred towards Chinese people.

I know that there's still diplomatic relations between China and Russia. I want to know more about this.
