The thing that pisses me off the most about AI

First of all, I don’t hate AI in the sense that “it’s sentient and is going to kill everyone.” I hate it because I think it will make life worse, not better. That’s it. <br><br>But what really, really pisses me off is the fact that *everyone* likes it. I can’t escape it. All I see online is “AI this” “AI that” “AI is going to change the world.” I can’t get on any social media site without seeing news title after news title saying how AI is going to make everything so much better. I see people I know, both online and offline, that I like/respect who love AI. There are a million chambers dedicated to it, with a million more followers. Every time I open my phone, I get recommendations for AI-related content. All the big tech companies who control everything are shoving it down our throats. Even my teachers and my workplace are using it.<br><br>I literally can’t go anywhere without seeing AI propaganda. <br><br>If I express my concerns about AI, people just condescend to me. They say I’m dumb for not understanding it can make my life better. They say I’m “afraid of change.”<br><br>I don’t want AI. I don’t want to live in a world of synthesia. I want reality. I don’t understand why anyone would want this. <br><br>I feel like I’m trapped in some dystopian movie where everyone is brainwashed except for me. And the worst part is that I can’t do anything about it.
