Democrats have been in control of the White House for 15 of the last 25 years and have presided over the largest expansion of economic inequality in American history

Even in the 1990s, the decade of "maximum prosperity," when you compare the economic performance of the Clinton years to any decade in the postwar period, Clinton has the worst income inequality outcomes and the worst job creation. Then Obama runs on improving this in 2008, and instead his administration presides over the loss of the largest percentage of manufacturing jobs in American history. It is not just his fault, as he came into office in the middle of a global financial crisis, but it is not what he promised would happen. Then Biden runs in 2020 and promises to change this, and his administration has presided over the largest increase in inflation in nearly 40 years and one of the largest expansions of stock market wealth in American history. So now we have the most unequal economy since just before the Great Depression. And it's nothing new. This has been going on since the end of the Cold War and the beginning of Clinton's first term.

It is true that Trump was a disappointment when it came to this, but he was a Republican. A political party that has openly opposed the New Deal and Great Society since the day they were proposed. At least Trump was able to suspend some student loan payments and raise taxes on some of the wealthiest investors in the world.

If Democrats can't preside over a more equitable expansion of economic prosperity than Republicans, then there is no reason to vote for them.
