I'm really concerned about men's mental health

I'm a mental health therapist(f48)who has jumped back into dating (males) after a ten year dating hiatus.

I've met a few men, taken some time to get to know them, and dang. Usually about a month into getting to know these guys I'm hearing phrases like "emotionally dead inside" and "unable to understand my own or other's feelings". They are angry and frustrated with this. One even went as far to say he felt like a "zombie" because he was unable to feel much of anything (he was crying when he admitted this).

I feel so bad for these guys. One was a vet, another a firefighter, last one a cop. All three were in their 30s. I feel awful because I can't help them. I'm matched with them on dating sites. I'm not their therapist. But my therapist heart breaks for them.

I'm worried for our society. How are we going to raise emotionally healthy children when a large amount of men are not in touch with their own or others' feelings? I'm so worried for our men and the women who will date them. I feel so sad for these men and the children they will raise.

I feel like I've failed them. I can't connect men with their own feelings. I just want to help them.

How is this going to get fixed?
