CMV: It's wrong to have kids when you know there's a good chance they'll inherit a debilitating condition from you.

The other day, someone I follow on Instagram announced her pregnancy. I'm really happy for her and all, but I couldn't help but remember that she had previously spoken about her struggles with endometriosis - something she'll obviously be passing on to her daughter. I'm not saying that somebody with a pre-existing condition shouldn't be allowed to become a parent, but this just makes me so sad, you know? Why would you bring a child into the world if you *know* there's a chance that they'll have to go through something like that?
