I was in a minimalist FB group and someone in there posted a few months ago about having alot of kids and finding that once the kids left the house it was much easier - so her thought was to turn her one bedroom into her kids room and move her own stuff into a bag. It was a neat thought since she had 3 kids.

Last week my 2 year old pulled her whole bookshelf out and I decided that we should downsize her room, it was stacked.. I moved the tv, desk, and computer out. I decided to put it into my room since I have a place for it.

Thats when I realized that I didn’t really need a lot of the space in my room so I could downsize as well.

So i dumped all my clothes into a large bag. Which was about minimum 3/4 of my closet. The remaining 1/4 was what was left after I started weeding them out for a garage sale that never happened. Now I’ve realized I didn’t even need that much.. but it was close to nothing. Since putting my clothes in a bag I’ve noticed how easy it is to have a clean room with less stuff and wondering if I should do more.
