St. Louis call for help!

My 20 year old son is working in St. Louis this week. He is at America's Center, helping take down an exhibit. He's done this type of work before, and brought his electric scooter with him, just in case the hotel wasn't close to the event. Turns out the hotel was too far to walk and his Lyft/Uber money was pretty tight.

Saturday, when he was walking to the hotel, (it was a little after 5 pm, so still pretty light out and there were people around), a car pulls over, with a nice looking young woman inside. She's smiling and waving, and he smiles back. (I just want to say that my son is a very nice, trusting person, but not THAT trusting. He was worried about having to walk with his scooter and 2 backpacks)

She leans over and talks to him through the open passenger window. She told him that she noticed he was having trouble carrying his two backpacks and scooter, and she offered him a ride. He said she was being very friendly and sweet, and he thought he'd make small talk with her. He told her he was only about 2 blocks from his hotel so he was ok, and they started talking. As a 20 year old, social media, TikTok, snap, Instagram kid, he's not good at judging peoples ages. He thought she was pretty, and a little older than him. He asked her how old she was and she said 36. (She's likely much older).

He said that she was being very nice, she offered to take him to get something to eat and said "I know some places that are a little further away and are really good. We can hang out if you'd like". As they're chatting, a guy gets in the back seat, he's the boyfriend, and my son starts to feel a little weird. The guy doesn't say much, just kind of looks at my son, and the woman tells him "my boyfriend is shy". They continue to talk and she's trying to convince my son to come with her.

She kept saying "I know some great places to go, we can have some fun and hang out together" and my son is trying to figure out how to get out of this situation without sounding weird. He's not spooky or paranoid, but something didn't feel right. He kept telling her that he appreciated the offer and it was nice meeting her, but he was good. He didn't want to go anywhere, and she kept pushing. After a few minutes, she was getting a little upset that my son wasn't going to go with her, and she kept saying "I know some great places to go, and we can have some fun, please come with me. I want to get to know you." He politely told her "no, thank you", and started walking away, with his scooter and 2 backpacks, and she keeps calling after him, asking him to come back, she wanted to be friends and hang out with him.

He said by the time he got to the hotel, he was almost running, and he heard her yell some obscenities after him, and saw the car pull away. He went to the front desk and told them what happened, and the young woman working there (who was probably about his age, mid 20's) said "was it a pretty blonde woman, with a guy in the car"? He said yes, and she said that they had been in the hotel parking lot, Friday night, around 11, trying to pick up younger guys, and security had to ask them to leave. She thought that the woman was much older than 36, as she had thought the woman was in her 50's.

If a young, lonely, trusting, pretty blonde woman tries to pick you up in St. Louis, don't go with her.
