If you are 25 and have 200k saved up, don’t want to wait to have kids.

I just don’t think you realize how much money you’re burning by having kids at 25. Your 200k is good, but it’s not the 450-600k you’d likely have at 30-32, or the 1.1M you’d have at 35-37, or the 3.3M you’d have at 40-42. You’re burning hundreds of thousands to millions of dollars to start kids earlier. You’re going to be making much more at later stages of your career, and you’re going to be able to create a much more stable financial environment for your children. I’m 30, and in a very good place to be raising little kids. But we didn’t sacrifice and save for 10 years to go back to square one with kids, we actually got to keep our 300k net worth (and growing) and can afford the expenses kids incur. We can afford quality day care and to travel for our kids, whereas if we had them at 25, we’d barely be able to make ends meet.
