Is it possible to get long short stories published in literary magazines?

I have a short story in the 50-60 page range (15,000 words long). It is a literary fiction story that is very character-driven and features multiple plot threads that converge in a similar theme. I am debating now whether it is possible to get published in literary magazines, or whether it is best to just try a book publisher. I've seen many literary magazines be outright dismissive of longer works, even those only a fifth as long as mine.
