My (M28) gf (F27) is mad I gave her a black Valentino bag instead of a red one.

I had promised my gf we’d be buying a new bag for Valentine’s Day. There’s a specific one she really liked from Valentino - they’re known for their red colour, and she wanted it in red. We’ve been looking at it for quite a while, and I’ve even shown it to her that many times she recognised it from memory. <br><br>One day I saw it at a store, and bought it. Except it wasn’t red, it was black. I thought she might like that one too. <br><br>Yesterday she saw the bag, and was really upset. She started crying and saying I don’t listen to her and that black isn’t her colour, only red is. She loves the bag, so she’ll keep it, but she’s still very upset.<br><br>Is this something I should apologise for? Maybe I didn’t listen to her?<br><br>&#x200B;<br><br>EDIT: Wow this blew up. My intention wasn’t to upset her, and it sucks that she didn’t like the gift.
