Time to put a non-essential business on blast - CVS Pharmacy **DOES NOT** grant immunity to their pharmacists for filling prescriptions they feel are inappropriate.

I just got off the phone with a representative from CVS customer service and the representative told me they will **NOT** grant their pharmacists any protection for going against the grain.

I pressed for an answer and they flat out said it. They will not give their pharmacists protection for choosing to not fill certain scripts. I asked why and they told me it's because the pharmacists choose to work there, and they should know the rules when they signed up.

I'm sure many of you here have heard the story of the woman that was denied her birth control and miscarriage prevention medication from a CVS pharmacist because the male pharmacist didn't approve of the woman's choices. Of course CVS PRed the story and said they'd grant immunity, but they lied, and here I am confirming that on this thread.

Please remember to always support your local pharmacy, and if you can't, support Walgreens over CVS. My mom used to work at a CVS pharmacy, and after CVS bought out a lot of the local pharmacy chains in our state, they immediately cut the benefits of all the former employees of the pharmacies they bought out.
