India has passed legislation that requires payments companies to store all data locally within 24 months as a way of ensuring better oversight and regulation.<br><br>But the company US Chamber of Commerce says it has concerns this could essentially move India towards “an isolationist digital economy post-Brexit and post-Trump”. It is asking for a reversal of the rules.<br><br>Companies including Google, Amazon, Facebook, Netflix and Apple are all members of the US Chamber of Commerce.
