Why is this sub so depressing and toxic?

The title says it. I really hate this place. It’s so depressing. I come here when I’m feeling lonely, and it only makes me feel worse. I think this sub is genuinely toxic. When I post or comment, I feel conflicted and guilty. This is a pretty crappy place.<br><br>It’s a sad world, where this sub exists. I don’t think it’s ok to talk about how you want to die, f\*ck people, beat up people, how you’ll never find a partner, how you wish you could just kill people. It’s fucked up. And yet that’s what this sub is. It’s a disgusting place. We should be ashamed of it. We should all be ashamed of how\*we’ve let this place go down.<br><br>I’m done with this place, and I think I’ll never come back. See you losers in hell.<br><br>Edit: I’m going to start a new sub, r/FriendsFor. It is a space for people to make friends and connect. You can create a post that says who you are and what you’re looking for in friends, and everyone can reply and DM to get to know you. Hopefully this sub will be a positive place, and it will help people overcome loneliness.
