What's the best conservative argument for why true bipartisanship is never coming back?

I'm writing a paper on the effects of the media on politics and one of the chapters deals with how the changes in the media have contributed to the disappearance of bipartisanship. I want to fairly represent both sides of the issue, but all of the papers I've found have liberal authors. I want to hear from conservatives what they believe is the reason we just don't see many Republicans working with Democrats or vice versa.<br><br>If you have a link to a good paper, that would be greatly appreciated!<br><br>Edit: I'd love to see some sources y'all. I can't use Chambers threads in a paper. I've got a couple of books recommended, I'll look into those.
