Tonight I had a craving for something I hadn’t had in a while, so I made a large pan of baked nachos. It’s not the healthiest of options, still somewhat healthy with assistance from lean ground turkey and keeping the cheese in moderation. Some of you know this, but for those of you who do not, I am a personal trainer, so I try to keep a pretty healthy diet in addition to the exercise I regularly perform. I have been in the gym for the past 13 years, I train regularly, and it really shows in my physique. The exercise is essential for a healthy lifestyle, but healthy eating also plays a crucial role in keeping the body in good health. Anyhow, back to the baked nachos! They were very delectable, and I can’t wait to devour the leftovers, but this time, I wanted to completely switch it up and try a new twist. I added a layer of garlic hummus in addition to the cheese and sour cream, and it really made a tasty difference, giving it a rich and creamy taste. The best part about nachos is that once you put the ingredients together, you can throw it in the oven and forget about it for a while. I am now too full to think about anything else, so I guess it’s time to relax.
