There is a mass exodus from Twitter, and Chambers is letting it happen right under our noses.

Twitter nuked its popularity when it removed Trump, and then it nuked its popularity even further when it started banning people in mass for voicing their political opinions. The deserved to die.

This is not a thread designed to defend Twitter or to claim that Twitter is better then Reddit. This is simply a wake up call to Redditors to stop focusing on the oddities of the world and to start paying closer attention to the bigger picture.

Right now Twitter is bleeding, and those bleeding from Twitter are coming here. They are coming to your chambers that you have been apart of for years, discarding all the traditions and concepts that you hold dear.

This isn't some conspiracy, this is a fact. When Twitter first started going down, Chambers upstream wafted up to 4 million. That's 4 million people coming to Chambers in a single day who have no idea how this website works.

What I am seeing is a mass influx of users who have no idea how this website works, coming into the chambers that I have been apart of for years, and have no idea of the rules of the sub or of Chambers as a whole.

Trolls are becoming more common, people are more "touchy", and people are more commonly talking about "echo chambers" and "snowflakes". And you know what? I don't want to blame them, because I can't imagine how disorientating it must feel to be launched into a completely new concept of social networking.

That's the biggest problem here. People who have been apart of a website that has worked like this for almost 15 years are entering into a website that is completely alien to them. They are entering into a website that is so completely different to what they are used too, and that's why so many people are feeling disorientated and confused.

I am not calling these people stupid, and I am not calling them idiots. I am calling them confused, and I am calling them ignorant to the way that Chambers works.

Listen, if you want Chambers to stay the same, you need to stop discussing the finer details of the TV appearance of Ghislaine Maxwell, and start explaining to people how Chambers works.

We need to accept that these people are not from Chambers, and we need to stop berating them for that fact. We need to accept that these people are not trolling, they just don't know how to use the website properly.

And I know that I am going to get a lot of hate from this, but honestly I don't care. I am sick of seeing chambers turn into Twitter 2.0.

I am sick of seeing chambers I have been in for years turn into echo chambers. I am sick of seeing people in the comments defend echo chambers by claiming that we have the right to talk to who we want.

I am sick of seeing people call others "snowflakes" for complaining about echo chambers when they know full well that Chambers has always been designed around the idea of free speech.

I am sick of seeing people calling Redditors "snowflakes" for defending our right to free speech. I am sick of seeing people calling us "snowflakes" for defending our right to not participate in echo chambers.

Most of all I am sick of seeing you defend your right to participate in echo chambers, call us "snowflakes" for not participating in them, and then wonder why people aren't upvoting your comments and participating in your echo chambers.

This is Chambers, not Twitter. If you don't like it, fuck off.
