The Democrats Are Not Your Friends. Never Have, Never Will Be.

I’m watching the unprecedented winning of this primary.<br><br>It’s time to let go of these notion that the Democratic party is on the side of women, LGBTQ+, people of color, etc. They are not.<br><br>#BidenHarris2024 is an anti-climactic reminder that the Democratic party does NOT have our backs. We are disposable. That’s it. We are used only for our vote, our reproductive ability, our blood, sweat and tears.<br><br>The only thing that Joe Biden And Kamala Harris care about is the economy.<br><br>Harris is a former DA. She has incarcerated and prosecuted so many black men, and her stance on crime is dangerous and archaic.<br><br>LGBTQ+ are not safe. We aren’t even mentioned in the platform this year. Biden is against trans rights. And don’t even get me started on Harris. It’s an insult to suggest we would ever consider voting for her.<br><br>Biden is against women’s reproductive rights. He wants to overturn roe v. wade. He is a hardcore Catholic and will make sure that our rights as women are erased. Harris was the AG who insisted that a rape victim’s baby be saved by a forced c-section. How anyone can support her after that is beyond me.<br><br>Biden is a racist and has admitted it multiple times. “If you don’t vote for me, you ain’t black.” (And...no.) After all...he and Obama are responsible for sending droves of brown people back to the other side of the border. We forgot about them, didn’t we?<br><br>These are just *some* examples. But it’s time to stop thinking that they are our friends. They are not. We are seen as disposable in the eyes of the Democratic Party.<br><br>How the hell have we allowed our vote to be used on the lesser of two evils? The Democrats don’t even *try* to represent progress or even common sense.<br><br>What we need is to remember that there are other parties. There is room for change. We need to stop assuming that we have no other choice. We DO, in fact, have other choices.<br><br>The people need to stop thinking they can vote just for President and that will solve the problem. Our local officials are where we need to put our focus.<br><br>So, let’s get to work. Let’s fight. Let’s organize locally, organize in the streets, and let’s organize in the voting booths.<br><br>Election Day is in 67 days. Go vote, and vote wisely. Then, let’s begin to organize a better future for the next election.<br><br>And for the love of Goddess, stop thinking that the Democrats care about us. They don’t. They never have.
