Hey all, I've served this sub for 5 years now. I'll be taking a break from the moderation team.

Big news. First, I'm not leaving the sub, I'll still be around. I've been a moderator since the spring of 2018, and I've been running this sub since the end of 2019. I've come to after a lot of gut wrenching internal debate to decide to take a break from the moderation team. A lot of reasons for this, but it's mostly rooted in the fact that I am no longer living in a budget at all. I'm not beginning to, I am somewhere far away from it, and this sub no longer holds the same importance for me anymore. It's not fair to my fellow mods that I'm still taking the reins, nor is it fair to you all. Whether you like it or not, my opinions and biases do shape a good part of the sub. As I've personally grown both financially and in experience, I think it's time to step down and pass the torch to someone else.

I have 2 brand new mods joining the team. I think they both have a good idea of what this sub is for, and I have faith that they will end up making this place even better. I'll no doubt be active on the mod team here, but some of the big decisions going forward will be made by other hands.

Edit: Thank you all so much for all the kind words. I never thought that this sub would be so popular when I first joined, and I never thought my work here would mean so much to other people. I'm not crying you're crying.
