Do I tell them I'm gonna quit?

To keep it short... I am the "IT manager" at a 180 person company. Been there 2 years and very happy.

I got a job offer I can't turn down, which is a 45 minute drive one way, and a 20% pay increase to match me being 90 minutes away from our local office.

I'm not gonna take it. I live near the current office, and the job, and the pay is the same as my current job.

However, the new job is a very interesting opportunity, with amazing benefits, and a very mature company, and I am very interested,

I've told 3 people who would be impacted if I left, and we've been secretly working on getting them ready, in case I left.

My boss is a micro manager who doesn't listen or trust me. He thinks we're friends because he's from the same part of Europe (although from a different country) as my dad's side of the family. And he says I remind him of his son when I was younger, so he thinks he knows what I'll do, and I'll stay. I am his best hope for a successor as he plans to step down in a year or two and just be a consultant.

So I don't want to tell him about the job... but I also don't want to burn the bridge, as I would like to work there in the future maybe.

Do I tell him the truth?
