17 and lonely

I get frustrated when I read these posts and everyone says "go out and make friends" or "join clubs". I want to but I've been told no, I'm not good enough, I'm not important, I'm a waste of time. I'm insecure and scared. I want to be friends with someone so bad, I've never had a friend. Right now I feel like I'm drowning in my own loneliness, and I don't know who to talk to.
