CMV: We must do whatever it takes to protect and conserve our planet regardless of cost

I believe we must do whatever it takes to protect and conserve the planet, even if it costs trillions of dollars, and leads to huge economic losses. I don't want men on Mars, I want a healthy Earth. I don't want humans colonizing other planets, I want to make sure we don't destroy the one we all live on. In other words, if a NASA scientist came up and told me that "science has proven, without a shadow of a doubt, that if we funnel 50% of the entire world's resources, including human resources, into protecting the planet, we can ensure a healthy planet for all humans, and for the future of our species. But if we don't do this, we can almost guarantee that our environment will deteriorate to an unsustainable and uninhabitable state in a matter of decades." Then we must do it.<br><br>Edit: Formatting
